In Cuba, food distribution issues are in the forefronts of recent memory. There has been a consistent lack of fresh eggs throughout the country, an essential nutrient source for Cubans.

While discussions that could be perceived as critical of the government often take place behind closed doors, in a rare glimpse into everyday life, two families in Havana share their firsthand experiences and concerns for the future. Through their perspectives, the film weaves a broader narrative of Cuba’s societal, economic, and political landscapes, offering an intimate yet revealing portrait of generosity amid scarcity.
